A Tribute to Cheerleading

I miss it. I miss practicing 5 days a week. I miss the Friday night lights. I miss walking around the mall in my all-star uniform and bow thinking I was so cool. I miss flipping. I miss getting thrown into the air and knowing that my stunt group will catch me. I miss having abs without trying to have abs. I miss that feeling you get after hitting a perfect routine and the sound the crowd makes when you do. I miss singing in the car with my best friend on the way to 9 a.m. Saturday morning practices. All of these things and more are some of the reasons why cheerleading was one of the greatest blessings in my life. I couldn’t have ended my high school cheerleading career any better…2A Football State Champions, ICC winner two years in a row, and UCA International Champion for my all-star team (not to mention all of our 1st place medals/banners/jackets we received that year). So to recapture these joys, here are two massive photo collages highlighting some of my favorite cheerleading memories.
