This past weekend I had the amazing opportunity to visit Alexis at her school (Vanderbilt University) in Nashville, Tennessee. It was definitely a weekend that I will NOT forget. Before this trip however, I had only ever driven through Nashville on my way to Florida or stayed in a confined area surrounding the convention center for cheerleading competitions. I am so happy that I was finally able to see and explore the country music capital of the world. There was so much buzz and excitement everywhere I went!
Since Bloomington is a college town, the environment is pretty different. It was so captivating to be on a university campus one second and then cross the street and find that you are in the center of city life. I loved all the hipster places and people that I encountered (see pictures below), and it was all made possible thanks to the best tour guide in the world, Alexis Christine! From sushi on night one to singing “Life is a Highway” on the way back home, here is a blog dedicated to Nashville.
