Yesterday, I took advantage of a free frozen yogurt cup at Orange Leaf by participating in their YOU BE YOU day! All I had to do was tell them what makes me unique, and I got a free cup of happiness 🙂 (Note: I told them I was unique because I have my own blog hehe.)  The cup, although tiny, really brightened my day, and I thought I would write a tribute to fro-yos, their deliciousness, and my personal preferences.

I do not treat myself to frozen yogurt very often because of how overpriced it is combined with my frugal spending nature. I would honestly rather buy two gallons of ice cream that will last me two weeks (if I’m lucky haha) for the price of one Orange Leaf cup. However, yesterday was an exception because it was FREE, so why not right?

Orange Leaf was actually where I had my first frozen yogurt experience. It was always something trendy that TV characters enjoyed (shoutout to one of my favorite Wizards of Waverly Place episodes), and until Avon added their Orange Leaf chain, I never had experienced this delectable frozen dessert. Other places I have tried include: Pinkberry (pictured below), Red Mango, Bloomingberry, and Yogulatte. All were satisfying, but Orange Leaf will always reign because of their large variety of flavors and toppings. Here are my favorite flavors/toppings as well as my personal preferences when it comes to my fro-yo cup…

  • Brownie Batter
  • Chocolate Mint
  • Wedding Cake
  • Birthday Cake
  • Toasted Marshmallow
  • Cookies and Cream
  • Red Velvet

  • Salted Caramel/Salted Caramel Latte/Chocolate Salted Caramel
  • Cheesecake
  • Chocolate Cheesecake
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Chocolate Raspberry
  • Toffee/Chocolate Toffee
  • Peppermint
  • Cookie Cake
  • White Chocolate

  • Strawberries
  • Raspberries
  • Coconut shavings
  • Brownie bites
  • Cookie dough bites
  • Cheesecake bites
  • Crushed Oreos

I clearly like chocolate, and I have no shame whatsoever admitting that. However I do always need another flavor that is not as rich to balance it out (i.e. one of the cake flavors). Another thing about my fro-yo cup is that if I am going to eat this calorie-packed treat, I do not go for/like the fruity flavors. I save these flavors for my natural, Outshine popsicles or the real, raw fruits. I am the same way with ice cream, but chocolate raspberry is an exception. That is AMAZING.

When it comes to toppings, I do like a little fruit on top to add a refreshing taste to all the sweetness. I also clearly go for the really unhealthy, fun extras because getting Orange Leaf is a time to treat myself, so I go all out 🙂

So, if this blog makes you crave a fro-yo, I’m sorry, but also not sorry. You deserve it. Have one for me!
