These past few days, my godmother has been in Sevilla! She came to visit after an exhausting work trip all over the U.K. and Germany. When she arrived, I was so happy to see her that I started crying haha! I have missed my family so much, and she couldn’t have came at a more perfect time to mark my one month anniversary of being abroad. Below is a photo summary of everything we did together 🙂
Ninang arrived, we caught up in the apartment, drank some tea, and planned our activities!
After my classes, we met up for lunch at Ovejas Negras Tapas. It was perfect because I have been wanting to go to this place for awhile now. Our favorite dishes are pictured below (chicken wok and tuna tartare).
Then, we walked to the University of Sevilla together since I had one more class in the evening. On our way back, we watched a flamenco street performance.
Empanadas for dinner from my favorite market.
Started the morning early with breakfast on our apartment’s adorable balcony.
Visited the Real Alcázar de Sevilla, a massive royal garden that is one of Sevilla’s major landmarks. Very impressive.
SPA TIME at Aire de Sevilla: Baños Árabes, where we had turkish baths and phenomenal massages.
Lunch at Don Juan de Alemanes. Our favorite tapas as pictured (salmon/avocado salad and squid ink risotto).
After our amazing lunch, I showed Ninang the amazing Plaza de España! It was a perfect, sunny day 🙂
Gelato from La Abuela was a must.
And later on, we had a tasty dinner at Las Tapas de La Subasta. (My seafood salad and Ninang’s Spanish omelette is pictured below.)
Ninang finished up her packing, we had breakfast in our apartment, and she caught a cab to the airport! (Got a little teary-eyed when she left, but it’s all good.)
My heart is so full after her visit, and I am very blessed to have such a supportive, loving, and fun family. I wish she could have stayed longer, but she has been traveling since February 6th and is definitely exhausted! I love you Ninang Melanie! Thank you for an amazing visit, the beautiful apartment, where we stayed, and the lovely company. I’ll see you when I return in May!
